NAWWA and Colin Kaepernick
NAWWA | Sep 14 2018
In keeping with the philosophy embraced by Colin Kaepernick and endorsed by Nike, the Founder of NAWWA has also chosen to ...
But, rather than promote his cause by kneeling while the national anthem is being played, the Founder decided to JUST DO IT in the non-offensive way that is described below.
It is recognized that the purpose of Colin Kaepernick s cause is to protest the social injustices committed against people of color in the United States and, more specifically, the killings by police of Blacks or African Americans. Even though such protest is being conducted in a peaceful manner, the Founder together with many other people still considers it offensive. This is because it shows a lack of respect for the American flag and, in particular, the many American people who gave their lives for our freedom. Keep in mind that the lives given were from all of the 6 racial categories of people in America which are defined by the U.S. Census Bureau in the Introduction to NAWWA.
As the reader knows, the national anthem is a special part of all pre-game ceremonies in America. It gives us an opportunity to honor our country and reflect on the great liberties that we are afforded as citizens of the United States. These liberties consist of both our civil and human rights which include, among many other things, freedom of speech. Contrary to what Colin Kaepernick might think, the flag of the United States does not represent the oppression of black people and other people of color. Reference to the flag as being a symbol of oppression is merely an absurd statement that was conjured up by ex-President Barack Obama when he was a Senator.
It is also important to inform the reader that, unless otherwise specified, the views and opinions expressed throughout NAWWA are those of the Founder. All of the writings are based upon the Founder's personal experience and observations. In addition, a genuine effort has been made to present the writings in an objective, honest, and unbiased manner. By publishing the Articles in these respects, the Founder is providing the reader with greater openness and transparency about the issues at hand.
At this juncture, it should now be obvious why the Founder used the philosophical phrase adopted by Colin Kaepernick and endorsed by Nike for introducing this Article. It was simply to get the reader to access the NAWWA website and see that it is not a racist organization as explained in NAWWA and its Format and Ideologies.
And, in getting back to NAWWA, the reader can also see that the purpose of the Founder's cause is likewise being conducted in a peaceful manner. However, it is not in the form of a protest. Instead, it is based upon the formation of a new nonprofit corporation that will enable White Americans to obtain equal representation among the other 5 racial categories of people in the United States. This representation will give the White Americans a voice in many things which pertain to them without being called a racist or the fear of reprisals. A type of representation that is both credible and proactive, and not controversial or confrontational. The Founder strongly believes such representation will help eliminate much of the societal discord between the races that has taken place and is still happening in America today. All of this is more fully explained in NAWWA will provide Balance and Equilibrium.
NAWWA will provide White Americans with equality in representation among all of the other organizations that were formed to help their racial categories of people in America.
